Memorial Day Weekend
We took some time off from dancing and had a restful weekend. I got to spend some time with my brother, Edgar. We played a lot of Xbox, played some guitar and composed some music tracks with the iMac's Garage Band. The weather was pretty nice - some clouds, but he's used to being in Yuma, so it was a nice change for him. I got to see my Dad and Alma, too, for a little bit, and then Laetitia and I caught up on some things around the house. Here I am today, back at work plain

Apples and Oranges - iMac G5
iMac G5 So Laetitia and I didn't quite make "the switch", but we did add an Apple iMac G5 to our computer inventory. We were just so impresses with the music authoring and video/multimedia capabilities, all packed into one machine that can be picked up and moved around the apartment. I'm selling off most of my old machines to take care of the purchase, and we'll still have our primary PC with the dual monitors setup at Laetitia's desk for all our regular business. It's a really fun machine, so I have to constantly remind myself that we have to turn the purchase into some revenue soon.

Ebay Garage Sale is Underway
Ebay Garage Sale I've listed my Gameboy Advance, my Motorola V400, and six ballroom dance video tapes. The only thing with no bids as of this morning is the Gameboy, but I've been seeing them close like crazy, so it's just a matter of time. I still have a few more things to list, but I'll probably start the next wave of auctions this weekend.
The Nerdiest Day Ever
So, I began yesterday by calling in sick to work... I was really sleepy and sluggish, and feeling a bit worn down, but I felt like I had to do my best to get out of the house, so I saw Star Wars Episode 3 - Revenge of the Sith. Laetitia and I caught the 8am showing, where there were only 2 other people in the theater other than ourselves. I liked pointing out that I was the only one there with a girlfriend. This movie really did makeup for the first 2, and I have the closure I needed to return to my normal life, with no other sequels hanging over my head.
After that nerdy experience, Laetitia and I went to E3, the video gaming convention in LA, to meet her friend Pam, that works for a publisher exhibiting there. Now THAT was a nerd-fest. It was chaos and noise. I didn't know where to look, with all the big screens and game systems everywhere we looked. I got a couple of freebies from the booths, but the best part was really getting out of their and catching up with Pam in Little Tokyo afterward. I guess I can get back to my "normal" life again

Ebay Garage Sale
Laetitia and I are getting all our junk together, and I think we're going to have an ebay garage sale this weekend. Some of the things I think I'm going to list are my Sony Clie PDA, my GameBoy Advance Retro-Edition, an Apple G3, an Apple G4, a Motorola GSM cell phone, and some various clothing items. Once we clear out this stuff, we'll hopefully have enough money together to help us get a new iMac G5, where we'll be getting further into video editing and music composition. It's so nice to have ebay, especially since we don't have a garage in real life.

Video Game Lunch Break
Today for lunch, AJ, Joe, Paul and I met up at the clubhouse at my apartment and hooked up the XBOX to the big screen for a video game lunch. El Pollo screwed up my order and completely forgot my burrito "pendejos"! Anyway, we played some Midnight Club 3 - Dub Edition, which takes place in San Diego. They did a pretty good job with the downtown map. It's like an abbreviated San Diego because you can hit about all the local landmarks in 30 seconds. We also played some Lego Star Wars, since we're getting more anxious for the next weeks premier of Episode III.

Movies - Hitchhiker's & Kingdom of Heaven
Earlier this week, we saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. We got in to the first showing of the day, so it only cost us $8 for the two of us. The movie was kind of long, but there were some funny parts. It was kind of like a cross of Shawn of the Dead and The 5th Element. Then, last night, John met us in La Jolla and we saw Kingdom of Heaven. Orlando Bloom plays a blacksmith again, eh? Also, we see the return of a good portion of the cast of Braveheart. I thought the movie was pretty good, although John and Laetitia felt it was too slow toward the beginning. Maybe I thought it was so good because I still had the faint memory of how bad Alexander was - I almost got up and walked out of that one, and usually, I'll just sleep in the theater if the movie doesn't keep my interest. I guess it's just countdown until Revenge of the Sith, coming in a couple of weeks. Last night, Conan O'Brian said that Star Wars fans have another 2 weeks to NOT find a date LOL

Emerald Ball Video
Dancing at Emerald Ball - We danced at the Emerald last night, so I'm stilled tired and have a fake tan. I posted a video clip with a mix of the dances. We got 2nd place, overall, and felt better when we watched the DVD at home, since we're starting to accomplish some of the things we set out to do with our dancing. Hopefully, we can have these things developed even more for the Regionals next month in San Jose.
