PorfiTron to the Rescue
We've been getting pretty used to hearing noisy kids playing outside our window, and we can even hear what's going on at the pool, so yesterday morning, when we heard some whining, at first we thought nothing of it. Just out of curiosity, I finally looked out the blinds and saw that an elderly woman was trying to call a little dog back to her apartment. The dog did not care at all, and was enjoying the lawn, and the lady, who was having a VERY hard time walking, probably wouldn't have been able to do anything once she finally reached the dog. So I charged down the stairs, and the lady pleaded with me to grab her dog, just as I intended. I started back to her porch with the dog and then realized that the lady probably needed some help to, so I escorted her in my right arm, and had the dog scooped up in my left. All the while, Laetitia observed from our window, and when I finished, Laetitia affirmed my deed with an awesome THUMBS UP! Anyway, I guess those screaming kids delayed my response time, because I had dismissed that lady's calls for help for 15 minutes "as did the closer neighbors on the ground floor". I guess the lady was left there taking care of the dog and a baby... who takes care of HER?

Halloween is Coming
I don't know what I should "be" this year. There's a costume party at work each year, and I lucked out last year and had to go to a conference instead. The year before, I was a sad cowboy, since all I had was a western shirt and a cowboy hat.
At the Halloween Dance Party at Champion, I'm usually in a show number as a Zombie, but I don't wear that the whole night, and I hate the make-up. And when Laetitia and I dance our shows, we're wearing our ballroom costumes.
I guess it's too late to do anything really cool, but if you have any ideas for me, feel free to leave comments off this post.

Michelle Manning gets Married

We left San Luis Obispo pretty early, but stopped by L.A. to do some shopping in the Fabric District. The total miles for this trip was just over 600 miles, so that was a pretty good trip in the Matrix. We watched a DVD on the way up, and had iPod tunes on the way back - this definitely made the trip seem shorter.
