Tree Trimming

This past Sunday, Laetitia and I went to her parent's house for their tree trimming. Her grandparents came too, and we all decorated the tree and played with the dogs, while Laetitia made an enormous amount of cookies. Las Vegas Photos

Here's a link to the proofs of the pictures of us taken by the photographer at the Holiday Dance Classic last week. Laetitia was also able to try out the latest dress she made. It looks like our next competition will be at the California Open in Costa Mesa in February.

Back from Vegas

Laetitia and I are back, and pretty happy with our dancing - we got 2nd, given it's our first time back on the competition floor for a few months. We're excited to kick-off our dance season, and Laetitia was able to try out the new dress she made. Now, we can take a breath, enjoy the holidays, and get back to dancing.

Leaving for Las Vegas

Laetitia and I are flying out to Las Vegas after work for the Holiday Dance Classic ballroom dance competition at the Luxor. We can use this mini-vacation, since it's been a while since we went somewhere out-of-the-ordinary. We dance our event on Saturday night, and we don't leave till Monday morning, so this leaves plenty of time for us to play a few slots, maybe see Narnia in the theater, possibly another show, and obviously shopping and dining. Anyway, wish us luck!

BAE Holiday Party

So Laetitia and I went to her company's Holiday party... it was unbelievable to see how many people work at that company. I guess that's why it took so long to get us our food. Once we ate and got our "prom" picture taken, we danced to the NRG Band for a while. We worked in some swing and hustle when we could, but the floor got so crowded because the band played disco hit after disco hit. Anyway, it was still fun!

Is there rest for the Wicked?

I'm so sleepy, since I've been trying to stay up while Laetitia finishes off her new dress for the Holiday Dance Classic next week. She's been pulling quite a few late nights, and now she's getting into the rhinestoning. While she does that, I find other projects to keep me busy, like making a few websites, and computer maintenance around the house.
Tomorrow, her work is having their Holiday party, so that should be fun. There will be a live band, NRG Band, who we've danced with before at the same venue. What will I wear?
We've been practicing every day, and doing our best to apply our lessons. We haven't competed since the August nationals, so we're really looking at this next competition as our kick off for the dance season, since we usually dance once every month or so from December forward until the next USA Dance nationals, which is in San Jose in August in 2006.
Well, I'm almost done with work, so I can look forward to a good lesson tonight rolls eyes
