A Blader is Reborn

Philip asked me last week if I was interested in going rollerblading with him around Lake Miramar, this lake near his house. I immediately said SURE, even though my mind started juggling the risks of me getting back onto skates and then falling on the hard ground. The last major injury I got was on skates, but that was playing roller hockey and headbutting another player - he went down and I skated on with a 4 inch gash on my forehead --0
Anyway, I went to Sports Chalet and bought the cheapest rollerblades, in case I never used them again, and met up with Philip at 4 on Sunday... Laetitia dropped me off and went to hang out with Mary.
The skating trip ended up being 8 miles "they have markers along the path"... I was starting to feel it around 3-3/4 miles, but at four miles, you have to turn around and go back since the damn is closed off to public use.
The good news is nobody fell and I'm not terribly sore. It was a good feeling to get that lung burn going, which happens so rarely in dancing. So, maybe this will be a weekly thing? Either way, it was a great way to enjoy the outdoors.

Selling some more on eBay...

Well, since I got Laetitia a new phone for Christmas "a Pink RAZR", I needed to sell her old one, so I figured I'd sell my 20 gig iPod on eBay, too. Everyone is going nuts over the new iPod video's, so when I sell my old iPod I'll take that money along with some Christmas gift cards and pick one up. We'll be going on quite a few plane trips this year, and it would be pretty handy to carry the movies around in our pocket, rather than lug the portable DVD player. I'm such a sucker for gadgets hehe

New Year's Eve @ Disney

Laetitia and I went to Disneyland for New Year's Eve, despite the warnings of rain. It actually was pretty nice, because we got annual passes and just took it easy strolling around the park and dancing to the Big Band at the Carnation Pavilion. The only "ride" we went on was the Haunted House, but since we have the passes, we have the whole next year to go on the rest of the rides on the way back from one of our many trips to LA.

2005 Holiday & Christmas Pics

I've posted some pictures from our 2005 December vacations, including our trip to Las Vegas, some Ice Skating, and Christmas time spent with Laetitia's parents. Ah... and now we're all back at work
