Poor Laetitia (got hurt)

Somehow, Laetitia really irritated her right rotator cuff last weekend. It's still under debate as to whether it happened while practicing, competing, or even just lifting a box at work. Either way, she had a rough early part of this week. She went to the doctor, and he gave her two cortisone shots and a prescription. By Thursday, the side effects of the prescription were too much for her to handle (headaches). Her doctor said she could sub in Advil and just to take it easy.

We've still been practicing, because we have to go to BYU to compete in only a couple of weeks, so we've been doing the best we can without using that arm... hopefully, our footwork will be awesome given the amount of effort we're putting into it (planned or not).

He's Out of My Life... Sr. Bolero

Well, he's finally gone... I called Father Joe's yesterday, and today the tow truck came and whisked him away. He almost started, which shows what a trooper he is, but he just proved that he's tired and ready to move on and contribute to this world in some other way.
I guess the next step is auction, and the money will help homeless people. Then, I'll get a tax receipt in a few weeks for the amount of sale. Sr. Bolero was worth more to me than any amount printed on that receipt, so thanks for the memories.

We're Slaves to the Ballroom

Wow, Laetitia and I have been putting in some pretty late nights. Not only do we have to work our day jobs, we have to manage to fit in the time to practice our dances, take our lessons, watch all the ballroom shows on TV, and she's making two new ballgowns!
The first dress is for the California Open in a couple weeks, and the next one is for the NDCA Nationals at BYU in March.
So I'm not completely useless, I've been working on a few side projects, and helping her where I can, but we're going to have to start getting our rest so we're fresh for the California Open in a couple weeks.
Anyway, I just had to vent a little bit here.
