See you in Heaven, Granddad
Frank Rocco Santore, 86, went peacefully to be with the Lord, Friday, Feb. 29, 2008. He was born Jan. 16, 1922, in Philadelphia. Frank proudly served 28 years in the US Air Force as a bombardier, navigator and in the Strategic Air Command. He logged over 5000 hours in flight during his Air Force career before retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1970. Frank spent many wonderful years playing golf, traveling the world with his wife, Ann, playing couples bridge and spreading cheer wherever he went. He was a loving husband, father, brother and granddad. He loved people and took time to enjoy life. Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann of San Marcos; sons, Ron Santore of Fresno, Frank (Francoise) Santore of Escondido, and Jack Santore of Fruita, Colo.; daughter, Nancy (Tom) Anderson of Deephaven, Minn.; sisters, Marie Depaul of Broomall, Pa. and Norma (John) Previty of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Jennifer and Jarred Buck of Los Angeles, Laetitia Santore and Porfirio Landeros of Del Mar, and Caroline and Mary-Claire Anderson of Deephaven, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Jean Santore and his sister Marlene Fantini. A visitation was held from 9 - 10 a.m. Thursday, March 6, at St. Marks Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. A graveside service, with military honors, was held at Riverside National Cemetery.
